Goals from MySpace

I came across this site while doing sewing research and read a blog post about making a list of things to do by the blogger's next Birthday. This made me recall a blog I posted on Myspace a year or so ago about my goals for the year that I haven't consulted since to see what I've accomplished....

So, here's the list as it was with comments about the completion of tasks and I will start a new list after my next birthday:

Here are my goals as of right now. This *should* be a work in progress.

Goals for 2009:
**Make progress in my education
[I am now at CSUN and have a degree plan in progress with the goal of graduating 12/11]
**Gain Strength
[I am working on this and hope to complete this with the completion of P90X starting 08/02]
**Become more independent
**Travel to new places (stores, states, parks, cities, countries I have never been)
[Places I have ventured since this posting: Cruise 12/09 - Miami, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Belize, Roatan; Northern California Roadtrip 06/10 - Willits, Leggett, Laytonville, Mendocino, Berkley; Beach Days Summer '10 - Carpinteria and Ventura; Vacation 07/10 Nuevo Vallarta]
**Make more money to feel better about paying bills
[I've increased my income, but I am still not secure in my bills to salary ratio]
**Learn to love my city and my state
[We have since moved to another city that has a better community and more local places to venture to. I just like it for now. The NorCal trip made me appreciate CA more.]
**Crochet and Knit more
[I finished a scarf for my Momma, started another one then fell in love with the idea of sewing...which is my new obsession]
**Raise my credit score even higher
[I think it's gotten higher, definitely not lower.]
**Learn new skills like self defense or CPR
[I need to schedule a class for this, maybe after I finish P90x and feel more confident.]

Goals for 2014 (wow, that looks hella funny):
*Finish my degree
*Use my degree in a career I enjoy
*Make more money that I thought I could
*Make a garment out of crocheting or knitting.

But most of all I want to learn to enjoy life more and to savor it all.

Be thankful for what I have and who I choose to have in my life.

What a nice way to end a post, being thankful for what I have and who is in my life...I have definitely done this even though it was not a goal. I've even made new friends and gone on new adventures!
