What's the point?

Let me give you some background info on me real quick. I'm 26, just back into going to school to finish my bachelors after not going to school for about 3 years. Before that I was in college steadily (including all but one summer) for 5 years.

Now that I've moved from TX to CA there are different rules to get into the universities here, one of which makes me have to take ONE class (that I already took in TX) in order to be accepted, b/c apparently CA's version of the class is different...So, I'm going to the local (crappy) community college in my area to take two classes, so that I don't feel like I am completely wasting a whole semester for one class. I've already gotten accepted to the University I want, but need to show them my passing grade from that one course to officially start taking classes.

So with this in mind. I am generally older than most of my classmates and this doesn't bug me on most days...except for today. When on my first day of said class above I notice this younger guy sitting to my right. About 5 minutes before the class even begins I see him pop two things in his mouth. This catches my curiosity immediately. I don't feel well and wished that whatever he was popping he might share...

Later when the class has begun and I realize how boring and hardly understandable my teacher is I start zoning out and look over to the guy next to me. He laughs at the teacher being a douche and that's when I see it....

The things he popped in his mouth earlier....

were FANGS.

Yep, you read that correctly. So I'm guessing he popped them in to "shock" the teacher. What I don't get is why put them in, then cover your mouth whenever you open it. What's the point? Doesn't it loose it's shock value then?

I guess I still have learning to do.
